How We Write

Editorial Policy

Every article on verticalvenues.com is written, reviewed, and updated under these standards. We publish to help couples and event hosts make informed decisions — not to manipulate search rankings.

Our Standards

Accuracy, Sourcing, and Disclosure

We treat our blog like a trade journal, not a marketing funnel. The standards below apply to every post under /blog.

Authorship

Articles are authored by Wesley Steele, owner of Vertical Venues, or attributed to the Vertical Venues Team for collaborative pieces. The author byline links to a profile page with credentials and contact.

Factual Accuracy

Pricing, capacity, and venue specifications cited for any third-party venue are based on publicly available information at the time of writing. We urge readers to confirm current details directly with the venue. Pricing changes often.

Sourcing

Statistics about the Idaho or Treasure Valley wedding market come from named sources where possible — The Knot, WeddingWire, U.S. Census, Idaho tourism data, or publicly reported industry research. Anecdotal claims are clearly labeled.

Conflict of Interest

We are a venue. We disclose this on every page. When we name competitors, we do so factually and neutrally — not to disparage. We do not pay for placements or accept payment for editorial coverage.

Corrections

Errors are corrected promptly. Substantive changes to published articles include an updated “Last updated” date. For corrections, email Verticalvenues@gmail.com with the URL and the issue.

AI & Automation

We use AI tools to draft and edit. Every article is reviewed and approved by a human author before publication, and factual claims are verified independently. AI is a writing aid, not a publisher.

Update Cadence

How Often We Refresh Content

Time-sensitive posts (pricing guides, year-specific roundups, market outlook articles) are reviewed at least quarterly. Evergreen guides are reviewed annually. The most recent review date appears at the top of every article.

  • Pricing and cost articles — reviewed quarterly
  • Year-specific guides (e.g. 2026 / 2027) — reviewed at year transitions
  • Evergreen planning guides — reviewed annually
  • Vendor and competitor mentions — verified before publication and on quarterly review
  • Bilingual translations — reviewed by a native Spanish speaker before publication
