Venue Basics

The essentials — where we are, who we serve, and what makes Vertical Venues different from other venues near Boise.

Where is Vertical Venues located?

Vertical Venues is at 4916 E Linden St, Caldwell, ID 83605 — about 25 minutes from downtown Boise, 15 from Meridian, and 10 from Nampa. We sit on the edge of the Caldwell Industrial Airpark with direct runway views.

How far is Vertical Venues from Boise?

We're roughly 25–30 minutes from downtown Boise via I-84 West, making us one of the most accessible wedding and event venues in the Treasure Valley while still feeling like a private getaway.

Is Vertical Venues the same as Vertical View climbing gym?

No — we're a completely separate business. Vertical View is a climbing gym in Boise. Vertical Venues is a 12,000 sq ft open-air hangar wedding and event venue in Caldwell, Idaho. Different owners, different addresses, different services.

What kinds of events can I host at Vertical Venues?

Weddings, quinceañeras, corporate events, fundraisers, galas, anniversary parties, birthday celebrations, proms, school events, conferences, trade shows, and private parties. If it needs space and atmosphere, we can host it.

When does Vertical Venues officially open?

Our grand opening is June 11, 2026, from 3:30–8:00 PM — featuring a staged wedding, live band into DJ, Big Daddy's BBQ food truck, a full bar, and $85 helicopter runway rides with free rides for every 100th and 150th drink purchased.

Capacity & Space

What is the guest capacity at Vertical Venues?

Our hangar accommodates up to 250 seated guests with a dance floor and staging. For cocktail-style receptions we comfortably host 300+. Smaller intimate gatherings of 50–100 feel elegant, too — the space scales beautifully.

How big is the venue?

12,000 square feet of covered hangar space, plus additional outdoor area adjacent to the runway. The main bay door opens wide to flood the space with natural light and mountain views.

Is the venue indoor, outdoor, or both?

Both — by design. We're an enclosed hangar with a massive bay door, so you can open it for fresh air, sunset views, and a ceremony under the sky, then close it for climate-controlled dinner and dancing. One space, both experiences.

Is the venue climate-controlled?

Yes. The hangar is fully heated and cooled, so summer receptions stay comfortable and winter events stay warm — a rare feature for a venue this size in the Treasure Valley.

Pricing & Booking

How much does it cost to rent Vertical Venues?

Pricing depends on day, season, and guest count. We publish current rates on the Pricing page and tailor quotes during your tour. We're priced competitively against comparable premium Boise wedding venues.

How far in advance should I book?

Popular Saturdays from May through October book out 9–14 months ahead. Weekday and shoulder-season dates (November–March) typically have more availability. Reach out early — we'll let you know what's open.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A signed contract and non-refundable deposit (typically 25–50% of total rental) secures your date. Remaining balance is due 30 days before your event. We'll walk you through the details during your tour.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable, but we're flexible about rescheduling if something comes up. We'll spell out exact terms in your contract so there are no surprises.

Can I tour the venue before booking?

Yes — and we strongly encourage it. Book a tour through our contact page or call (208) 800-9486. Rosa is available at (208) 565-6308 for Spanish-speaking clients.

Catering, Bar & Vendors

Do you have in-house catering?

No — we keep an open vendor policy. We have a food prep and staging area, and you're welcome to bring any licensed caterer, food truck, or food vendor you'd like. This keeps costs flexible and menus personal.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured bartender or bar service. We can recommend trusted local providers. Self-service alcohol is not permitted for liability reasons.

Do you have a preferred vendor list?

Yes — we maintain a vetted vendor directory for caterers, florists, photographers, DJs, planners, bartenders, and rentals. You're never required to use it; it's a starting point so you don't have to research from scratch.

Is there a kitchen for caterers?

We have a food prep and staging area with counter space, refrigeration access, and power — suitable for plating, warming, and staging. It's not a full commercial kitchen, so caterers should prep off-site and finish here.

Logistics & Amenities

Is there parking on-site?

Yes — complimentary on-site parking for up to 200 vehicles. We can also coordinate shuttle drop-off for larger events.

Is the venue ADA accessible?

Yes. The main entrance, restrooms, and event floor are all wheelchair accessible with no steps. Let us know about specific guest needs and we'll make sure everything is ready.

Are there noise restrictions?

Minimal. Because we sit in an industrial airpark with no nearby residential neighbors, live bands and DJs can run at full volume late into the evening — something most Boise-area venues can't offer.

What about weather — can we still have an outdoor ceremony?

This is the beauty of a hangar venue. Open the bay door for an outdoor-feel ceremony with runway and mountain views; close it in seconds if weather turns. You never need a Plan B — the hangar IS the Plan B.

Do you provide tables and chairs?

Yes. On-site tables and chairs are included free with all bookings made before June 11, 2026. Linens are not included, but we can connect you with rental partners.

Is there WiFi and audio/visual equipment?

High-speed WiFi is available venue-wide. Basic A/V (microphones, speakers, projector) can be arranged in advance — let us know your needs during planning.

Weddings

Do you host wedding ceremonies and receptions in one space?

Yes. Most couples do a ceremony with the bay door open for outdoor runway views, then we flip the space for dinner and dancing during cocktail hour. One location, one rental fee — no shuttling guests between venues.

Do you offer bridal suites or getting-ready rooms?

We have a private suite for the wedding party to prepare and store personal items during the event. Hair and makeup vendors are welcome to set up there.

Can we have a rehearsal the day before?

Yes — we include a one-hour rehearsal window the week of your wedding, based on venue availability. Full rehearsal dinners on-site can be added as an upgrade.

Accommodations & Travel

Where can out-of-town guests stay?

Several hotels sit within 10–15 minutes of 4916 E Linden St — including options in Caldwell and Nampa right off I-84. See our Accommodations page for a current list of partner hotels offering wedding block discounts.

What is the closest airport?

Boise Airport (BOI) is about 35 minutes east. We're happy to coordinate shuttle or ride-share suggestions for guests flying in.

Policies & Insurance

Do we need event insurance?

Yes — event insurance is required for all bookings. We recommend our trusted partner Eventsured for fast, affordable coverage. Your planner or caterer may also need to provide a certificate of insurance.

What time do events need to end?

Standard rental windows end at 11:00 PM with venue cleared by midnight. Late-night extensions are available as an add-on.

Are pets or animals allowed?

Service animals are always welcome. Well-behaved pets as part of a ceremony (ring-bearer dogs, etc.) are welcome with prior arrangement. General pet attendance is not permitted.
